Hanover Tomato Festival

The Hanover Tomato Festival returns to Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville for two days of food, music, and community fun. This free, outdoor celebration is family‑friendly, pet‑friendly, and packed with tomato‑themed activities, local vendors, and plenty of Hanover’s famous tomatoes straight from Rosa’s Garden and Hanover Vegetable Farm.

Know Before You Go


The event is held on turf and covers a large area. Stay comfortable by bringing water, wearing sunscreen, and choosing weather‑appropriate clothing and shoes. Portable restrooms, first aid, and cooling stations will be available on‑site.

To keep the festival safe and enjoyable for everyone:

  • No alcohol outside designated areas
  • No motorized vehicles, drones, fireworks, or large tents
  • No glass containers
  • Children under 18 must stay with an adult
  • Pets must remain leashed
  • Shirt and shoes required
  • Please avoid tobacco, vaping, and e‑cigarettes


Accessibility & Payments


Accessible parking and restrooms are available but note that the venue is turf. Some vendors may not accept credit cards, and there is no ATM on site, so bringing cash is recommended.
