The Virginia Wildlife Trail Grrrrand Reopening is almost here, and we can bear-ly contain our excitement! After two years of enhancements, your favorite Maymont residents are ready to welcome you back for a day of discovery, connection and fun.
As part of Maymont’s 100th anniversary, join us on Saturday, May 2 from 10am to 4pm for this free, family-friendly celebration. Stroll newly improved pathways, discover new interpretive signage and help us welcome two new additions to the wildlife trail: porcupines and coyotes! Along the way, you’ll find plenty to experience:
- Enjoy live music on the Raptor Valley stage
- Catch animal enrichment sessions and keeper talks throughout the day
- Get creative with animal masks, crafts and temporary tattoos
- Jump into games and scavenger hunts along the trail
- Say hello to local mascots and community partners
- Grab a bite from food trucks located throughout the trail
