Chesterfield, VA – Get ready to celebrate all things bees at the 2026 Chesterfield Bee Festival on May 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds! Brought to you by the Rockwood Park Beekeepers Association (RPBBA), this family-friendly event will be buzzing with excitement, education, and hands-on fun for all ages.
The festival will feature a wide variety of bee-related exhibits and demonstrations, showcasing the vital role of bees in our ecosystem. Attendees can expect to see exciting live bee demos, explore honey and bee products, and learn about the incredible world of pollination from local experts.
Be sure to stop by the Exhibition Hall—it’s the hub for turning in raffle tickets (with some great prizes up for grabs), where kids can redeem their Bee Smart cards for a honey stick, and where face painting will be happening. Buzz Talks take place.
The Bumble Bee Jamboree Kids Area, hosted by the Virginia Master Gardeners, will offer fun, hands-on activities for children, where they can learn about bees, gardening, and pollination in a playful and engaging environment.
Out on the festival grounds, there’s plenty to explore: 50+ vendors, food and treats from local RVA favorites, live music in two locations, a plant giveaway (while supplies last), goats and sheep, a Quilting Bee, and a brand-new kids area focused on getting everyone moving.
